Introduction
Rice Millers Association of Turkey was founded in 1998. Rice Millers Association of Turkey has 55 members and representing 90% of the industry. In addition to having large importers in the group, we also have very large rice producers who have mills. The Board Of Directors consist of 7 active members who are as follows,

Turkish market consumes 500.000 Mt white rice per year,nearly 200.000MT of this white rice is produced in Domestic Market. Turkey mainly produces Italian,Baldo and similar variaties.
Main Goals Of The Rice Millers Association
· To increase paddy production in Turkey.
· To solve the problems of the sector and devoloping relations with the official institutes under the organization
· Supporting paddy or cargo rice importation instead of rice importation for adding value to Turkish economy and supporting millers.
· To cooperate with TMO (Turkish Grain Board) for their rice policies and subsidy programs.
· Making researchs about increasing production,new irrigation fields and devoloping new kinds of seeds
· To help our members about codex standarts and quality controls.
· To devolop commodity stock exchange for rice trading in Turkey.
· To diffuse and enhance industrial research in Turkey.
· To devolop a international network with similar associations.
· To encourage the exchange of experiences and professional education on technological,managerial and financial aspects of industrial R&D
· To exchange ideas between members
